The Carol E. Hutchinson Memorial Prize for Research in Psychology

Samantha Shera (’20)
Awarded to a student or students contemplating a career in Psychology whose performance most clearly exhibits the inquisitive spirit and devotion to experimental research which was so prominent in Carol Hutchinson.

Darcy Furlong (’20)
Awarded to a student or students contemplating a career in Psychology whose performance most clearly exhibits the inquisitive spirit and devotion to experimental research which was so prominent in Carol Hutchinson.

The Carl E. Grothehen, Jr., Memorial Award for Excellence in Psychology

Tovia Marinstein (’20)
Awarded to a student who best exemplifies the emergence of excellence through the study of psychology which was so notable in the progress of Carl Grothehen.

Dr. Linda L. Bips Memorial Scholarship

Talia Hawkins (’21)
Awarded to a rising senior who plans to attend graduate school to pursue some form of applied psychology and who exhibits the personal qualities and interpersonal skills embodied by Dr. Bips. Dr. Bips worked at the College from 1985 until shortly before her death in 2016. She was Director of the Counseling Center and was actively involved in work with the Dean of Students Office. She then taught in the Psychology Department for many years. She was a beloved teacher and a highly esteemed colleague.

The Crist Family Research Fellowship

Zecharya (Zach) Setton (’22)
This fellowship provides a stipend to support students in either independent or collaborative research with a faculty member of the psychology department. In order to be eligible for the Award students must  The research idea must be student-directed but can be independently proposed by the student or could be related to a faculty member’s research program.

The Crist Family Research Fellowship

Megan Webber (’22)
This fellowship provides a stipend to support students in either independent or collaborative research with a faculty member of the psychology department. In order to be eligible for the Award students must  The research idea must be student-directed but can be independently proposed by the student or could be related to a faculty member’s research program.

The Rosenberg Research Award

Angeles (Angie) Morales (’22)
This award provides a stipend to a psychology student who is engaged in research that is developmental in nature (either directly or indirectly). The research idea must be independently proposed by the student or could be related to a faculty member’s research, but may not be the faculty member’s research.
